You might need the Wildcard DNS option for a multi–site application such as Joomla^™ Multi–Site or WordPress.

To activate a wildcard domain, go to the Domain Manager section of your Control Panel and press the Add Host button on the right. At the bottom of the options list, you will notice the Wildcard Domain checkbox.

From the Custom DNS Records section of the Domain Manager, you can easily update all the DNS resource records for your domain name with only a simple click of the mouse! All important types of DNS resource records are supported, including A, AAAA, MX, NS, CNAME, SRV and TXT records. All you need to do is specify the new value for the DNS record that you want to set or edit, push the action button and allow some time for the new record to be propagated all over the globe. Another alternative is to revert a DNS resource record to its old value.
