A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can get email messages from friends or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any effort in case you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet amazingly simple to use, and it will enable you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you will find a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it once again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a mini symbol handily located right next to each one. With just a single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature using the menu that will show up. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
